3250lb car, c-4/stock stall, .060 over 1984 302,fms cam 453 lift in. and ex, 208-224 duration @.050, air gap intake, gt40 iron heads, mac shorty headers with straight pipes and cobra mufflers. street and strip car. what changes would yall suggest and what carb?? thanks |

the first thing I would do is install a stall convertor. maybe go up on the cam a little |

No more than a 650cfm carb, any more than that, and you'll lose some signal through the venturi. I agree with the stall change, but nothing radical, somewhere around 2800rpm. What ignition does it have? Rear gears? Some possibilities there. Pull the air gap intake, install a Weiand X-Cellerator, and put a 150 shot on it. |

stock duraspark II now but a 6al is on the way. 327 grears. i got a 600 that has been really worked over by a guy in pc fl. names eric? mathis but it might be a little much, i dont know. dont want any NOSS!! |

Aww, c'mon Mike! Try it, you'll like it. Cut it in half and do a 75 shot, you won't be sorry. Real easy to tune, and I wouldn't mind helping if you'd like. Even the intake swap NA would be a benefit though. There's not alot you can do to a 600 to flow some big numbers. Most I have ever seen is 65 cfm. You'll be alright with that. |
